SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (October 17, 2017) – The American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) today announced cross country runners Nicholas Arnecke (Edmeston, NY / Edmeston) and Arielle Moheimani (Homer, NY / Homer) as its Men's and Women's Cross Country Athletes of the Week. The Broncos competed at the Green Mountain College Invitational on Saturday, where Arnecke placed first to lead Delhi to a team win, while Moheimani finished fourth overall to help the team place fourth.
Arnecke became the first Bronco not named Kobie Lane to pace Delhi in a men's race this season, as the junior topped the 8K, 35-man field with a time of 26:42. Including Arnecke, seven Broncos took top-eight spots as the team won the event with 16 points. Lane, Jon Messler and Lucas Reilly all finished behind Arnecke in second, third and fourth, respectively.
Moheimani took fourth place in the 5K, 36-woman field with a career-best 20:05. The Broncos placed fourth in the event with 64 points, as Moheimani was followed by top-20 finishes from teammates Elise McIntyre, Rainey Cerqua and Tristen Bowker.
