Broncos Take First in Home Quad Match

DELHI, N.Y. — The SUNY Delhi men's golf team captured team honors at its home quad match on Thursday, with the A squad posting a +5 to beat St. Lawrence by eight shots at the College Golf Course at Delhi. Delhi's B squad rounded out the day with a third-place finish at +18, ahead of Utica (+21) and SUNY Canton (+29).

Ben Swartz led the way for the Delhi A squad, carding an even-par round to finish third in the individual standings. Jonathan Tecchio followed with a +1, while Matthew Daniels, John Souva, and Grady Glennon all posted rounds of +2 to round out the team score in a tie for fifth. William Martin, also competing for the A squad, finished T8 at +3. St. Lawrence's Jimmy King won individual honors with a -3.

The B squad was paced by Max Dutcher, who carded the best Delhi round of the day at -1 to finish second overall. Thomas Politano added a +5 to tie for 12th, while David Debernardo and Kyle VanAuker each posted rounds of +7. Taylor Brock finished at +8 and Parker Flanagan closed out the B squad at +13.

Jack Nelson (+6) and Vlad Olenski (+8) also competed as individuals for the Broncos.

Delhi returns to the course next this weekend, as they host the 2026 SUNY Delhi Spring Open. Play will be split between The College Golf Course at Delhi and Leaterstocking Golf Club.
