West Point, NY - The Delhi track and field team traveled to West Point for a last chance meet to get some more performance opportunities leading into the All-Atlantic Regional Championship (AARTFC) Meet. The highlight performance came from the men's 400 meter relay team that posted a new school record in the event.
The relay team of Deron Davis, Joshua Jeffes, Cristhian Cuevas and Dayzin Lagare placed third in the loaded race behind Army West Point and Texas Southern. Their time of 41.29 seconds shattered the program record 42.14 that was set back in 2022 by Owen Sleasman, Jeffes, Mickenson Simon and Naquille Harris. The time also ranks the relay team in the top 30 in NCAA III and they will look to improve the mark in the AARTFC Championship Meet.
The top finish on the women's side came from senior Kim Dean. Dean jumped 4.78 meters to place fourth in the field in her final meet of her career.
The Broncos now look forward to the All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Conference Championship Meet at Cortland on Wednesday and Thursday the 15th and 16th of May.
