Witchney Clersainville Racks Up USCAA Weekly Honors

NORFOLK, Va. (September 18, 2019) – Sophomore Witchney Clersainville (Spring Valley, NY / Spring Valley) has been the named the USCAA Volleyball Division I Player of the Week. She was recognized following her strong showings over three matches last week, including a 3-1 win over Sage on Tuesday and a 3-2 comeback win versus Keystone on Thursday, as the Broncos stand at 5-1 on the season.

The Spring Valley, NY native totaled a game-best 14 kills with two block assists versus the Gators. She then captured a team-high 13 kills with six total blocks, including three solo, as the Broncos rallied from a 2-1 deficit to take sets four and five over the Giants. She added another team best with ten kills and two solo blocks in Monday's 3-0 defeat at Marywood.

Clersainville and the Broncos look to keep their strong start going at Morrisville State on Thursday at 6:30 p.m., followed by hosting a tri-match with Farmingdale State and MCLA this Sunday, starting at 11:00 a.m.
