Rochester, NY - The Delhi Broncos Cross Country teams traveled out to Roberts Wesleyan University for the Harry F. Anderson Invitational this weekend. This race is a majpr invitational with many top teams from the region.
The Broncos raced well against the teams with the women placing ninth in the field and the men placing tenth.
The women were led again by sophomore Charlotte Warner who finished the 5-kilometer course in 19:07.4 to place 16th in the field of 183 runners. Amanda Intrieri, Evelyn Eastman and Maria Heebner were close together finishing in 20:05, 20:21 and 20:22 respectively. The Broncos scoring was rounded out by Eden Carr.
For the men, sophomores Michael Lilly and Liam Cowdrey again led the way for the Broncos. Michael completed the difficult 8-kilometer course in a time of 26:18 and Cowdrey ran 26:53 marking the first time under 27 minutes for each of them. Spencer Moreau, Wylie Wakefield and Austin LaFountain rounded out the scoring for the team.
Next up for the Broncos is the annual Bronco XC Classic to beheld at the College Golf Course in Delhi on Wednesday October 8th.
