Warner Runs Lifetime Best In First 6k of The Season

Montgomery, NY - The men's and Women's Cross Country teams traveled to the loaded Brother Jasper Invitational to get their first full length races of the year with the men running 8-kilometers and the women running 6-kilometers.  The event, made up of mostlydivision I programs, was held at Twin Ponds Farm.

Sophomore Charlotte Warner led the women's team with a new lifetimebest in the 6k distance to improve on the second fastest time in program history finishing in 22:54.8.  Amanda Intrieri was the next Bronco across the line in 23:48.5 followed by Evie Eastman in 24:03.3, Maria Heebner in 26:08.7 and Eden Carr in 30:34.4.  The women placed 13th in the field of teams, tying the Universityof Albany with 356 points.

On the men's side Michael Lilly and Liam Cowdrey led the way running 27:12.0 and 27:22.8.  Rounding out the scoring for the Broncos was Spencer Moreau in 28:08.5, Latham Gielskie in 29:17.4 and Wylie Wakefield in 30:29.0.  The men placed 15th in the field with 441 total points.

Next up forthe Broncos is a trip to the Harry F. Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan University on September 27th.
