Men and Women Open 2025 Season With Third Place Finishes

Syracuse, NY - The men's and women's cross country team opened their 2025 season at the LeMoyne College Frank Dillon Memorial XC Invitational with a pair of third place finishes as a team.  This starts that teams first season in the SUNYAC as they move over officially a year in advance of the rest of Delhi Athletics.

Leading the way for the women was a trio from last year North Atlantic Conference Championship team.  Amanda Intrieri, Evie Eastman and Charlotte Warner ran as a group all finishing within a second of each other in ninth, tenth and eleventh place overall respectively.  Rounding out the scoring for the team was a pair of first year runners with Maria Heebner in 22nd place and Sofia Melonie in 39th place.  The team placed third in the field of five teams, ahead of two SUNYAC teams.

On the mens side, the pair of Liam Cowdrey and Michael Lilly came through the finish line together in 13th and 14th places respectively.  First year Bronco Spencer Moreau was the third on the team to finish just eight seconds behind Cowdrey and Lilly.  Rounding out the top five for the Broncos was Wylie Wakelfield and Latham Gielske.  The Broncos spread from first to fifth runner was just 42 seconds, taking the team to a third place finish in the six team field.

The Broncos will now get back to training for the next two weeks before heading to New York City for the Brother Jasper Invitational hosted by Manhattan College.
