BANGOR, Maine — SUNY Delhi held a four-goal advantage in the third quarter but couldn't hold off Husson, dropping a 12-9 North Atlantic Conference decision Saturday at Boucher Field.

Delhi jumped out to a 3-1 lead after one quarter behind goals from Anthony McLaughlin, Thomas Gandley, and Chris Lazazzaro. The Broncos extended the margin in the second, scoring three more through Kyle Moore, Jagger Beachak, and Jesse Hagen, and led 6-3 at the half. McLaughlin added another just 43 seconds into the third to push the lead to 7-3.

That's when Husson took over. The Eagles scored four straight to close the third quarter, with Kiernan Field netting two and Dominic Hollenkamp providing the equalizer at 7-7 with 1:29 remaining in the period. Husson then opened the fourth with a man-up goal from Owen Giorgio to take the lead for good.

Lazazzaro answered on the power play to tie it at 8-8, but Field responded less than a minute later to put Husson back in front. Hollenkamp then scored twice more as part of a 4-0 Husson run that sealed the outcome. McLaughlin added a consolation goal with 15 seconds left.

Hollenkamp finished with five goals and an assist on 11 shots for Husson, while Field added three goals and two assists. McLaughlin led Delhi with three goals and Lazazzaro added two, with Moore contributing a goal and two assists. The faceoff battle proved costly, as Husson's Brian Peabody won 16 of 21 draws to give the Eagles a consistent possession edge in the second half. Dylan Csanko went 7-for-20 in the circle for Delhi, and Jayden Messina made 16 saves in goal.

The Broncos return home Monday to host Montclair State, with faceoff set for 1:00 p.m.
